Program Overview
Since leaders are responsible for “arousing, engaging and satisfying
the motives of followers” (Blanchard), they most often derail
due to “people issues” (Frankel). To lead effectively, they
must adopt an effective process “with an observable, learnable
set of practices” (Kouzes & Posner). When they coach their
team members, leaders are doing all of the above in a highly effective,
inspirational way.
Lead
By Coaching© supports corporate leaders in developing
the key coaching competencies and practices to achieve desired results
through people. Combining
the best practices of both training and coaching, Lead by Coaching©
transforms technical professionals into 'coach leaders'
through facilitated discovery and exploration.
This program
innovatively provides everyday tools to deeply develop the leader's
communication and self-management capabilities, as well as the trust,
integrity and courage to apply them in the workplace.
Lead
by Coaching© allows current
leaders and leaders in development to acquire powerful fundamental
coaching structures and tools. It assists technical professionals in adopting coaching as their
new ‘human operating system’, a common platform and process
for individual & team functioning and development.
Program Objectives
Lead by Coaching© provides participants with a structure
for coaching: a model and a ‘template’ for coaching exchanges.
They will also develop a leadership toolkit consisting of the four fundamental
Lead by Coaching skills: Global Listening, Empowerment Questioning,
Impact Requesting, and BRAVe Feedback (Behavior – Result –
Action – Verification).
Participants
learn to clarify and redefine their own role and responsibilities
as team coach leaders.
Lead

ultimately become 'coach leaders' for life.

Program Duration & Format
Lead
by Coaching© is delivered using a coaching approach,
emphasizing learning through facilitated discovery and exploration.
A major part of the learning occurs through experiencing the facilitator's modeling
of the coaching process. All materials are provided as handouts.
To ensure
behavioral change and transfer to the workplace, Lead by Coaching©
intersperses shorter intensive hands-on training sessions
(both on-site and virtual) with field practice and follow-up one-on-one
coaching over a six to twelve week period.
